ABOUT ME

PhotoHideShop is the specialized webshop for nature and wildlife photographers, created by the founder of Buteo Photo Gear and former owner of Stealth Gear.

​For over 45 years, I have been photographing wildlife in the field, with a passion for birds and deer. From the very beginning, I relied on photo hides and camouflage tents to get closer to nature. In the early days, I made my own hides before eventually using well-known commercial brands.

​In 2006, I launched my first webshop, Buteo Outdoor Supplies, offering gear from leading brands. Driven to innovate further, I founded my own brand in 2015—Buteo Photo Gear—and designed signature hides like the Buteo, Aquila, and Falco. (Fun fact: Buteo Photo Gear was named after my favorite bird, the Common Buzzard / Buteo buteo). Later, in 2019, we expanded our portfolio by acquiring Stealth Gear.

​Although I recently sold the original company, my passion for specialized photo hides remains as strong as ever. That’s why I created PhotoHideShop—to provide you with top-tier hides designed to make your wildlife photography adventures a success.
